Distraction is the most powerful way Satan keeps us from standing in the victory of Jesus. Distraction is subtle and unassuming, it comes in to make us fix our eyes on our circumstance rather than our creator. Our eyes reflect that image back to our headspace what is occupying our attention, be it pain, fear, sadness, happiness, suffering, etc.
Where our eyes are fixed is where our hearts follow. Let's put aside all distraction and fix our eyes on Jesus who is the Author and Perfecter of our faith, for He has completed His work and we can trust Him to not only fill us with Himself, but also to bring us home.
