“Now today, because of Christ’s accomplishment and
fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets, the Holy Spirit has been poured out on
all flesh. We right now are the people
Jeremiah prophesied about. (ref. Jeremiah 31:31-34) We are the people
who now have God’s Law written on our hearts.
We are the people who are now empowered by the Spirit of the Living God
to “Know the Lord” because we can all know Him, “from the least to the
greatest.”
Isn’t that great news?
How sad would it be to live in such a time as this and not take
advantage of such a wonderful gift from God?”*
Jesus truly wants us to live in the moment, not being caught
up in a web of dogma or doctrine, but rather caught up with Him and His person. The Holy Spirit is given by the Father to reveal
Jesus to us and Jesus resides in us by the power of the Holy Spirit. (ref: Colossians 1: 27)
Jesus speaks to us directly about what He desires to accomplish through our lives, and it is the Holy Spirit who reminds us daily of what Jesus has commanded us to do. It is this encouragement by the Holy Spirit that will empower us to live lives which are fearless and guided by His peace.

Jesus defined the peace we are to embody, “…not as the world gives” which is a superficial peace that is transitory and oftentimes conditional, rather, Jesus gives us His peace which is unconditional, steadfast, and eternal “My peace I give unto you”. That peace is none other than Jesus Himself coming to us and becoming our peace when we have no other resource for peace other than Him.
We can take complete confidence in Jesus to be our peace when the world around us is imploding.
Satan will do everything within his power to rob us of our peace and tempt us to fear and become worried about our situation, that is where we declare “Greater is He (Jesus) that is within me, than he (Satan) who is in the world” (ref: 1 John 4:4) if we let Jesus become our peace in every circumstance.
“I have told you all this so that you may find your peace in me. You will find trouble in the world—but, never lose heart, I have conquered the world!” John 16:33 (Phillips)
Now that is great news!
Be Blessed;
Stephen Barnett
