"All Creation Waits..." - Romans 8:18-21

The Lord and I spent time this morning pouring over this passage of scripture to begin our Monday together, and I would recommend it to you highly.

When we suffer as believers, we have hope that the revelation of God and His Kingdom is of far higher value and purpose than anything we encounter here in this life, there is no comparison. God chose that all of creation would lose sight of its original intent, and it waits for the revelation of God's children in their fullness and completeness that all of creation may itself be made right again in Jesus Christ.

Our destiny as God's children is to know and live in His freedom; all of creation waits earnestly to participate in that freedom with us.

It is incredible to think that our purpose in Christ is this easy. Yet, there is a caveat to this purpose; there is an enemy who is working hard to prevent this purpose from coming to fruition. This enemy desires to keep Gods children in bondage so they will never grow into the freedom offered to them, thus never fulfilling their true destiny.

Our enemy is Satan; why would he do this to us? I believe it is because He is humiliated by humanity, he wanted free reign over all the kingdoms of this world which God had given to Adam & Eve. Satan deceived Adam & Eve and stole their right to rule the earth, and Satan presumed that he would hold his control over the planet and its kingdoms forever and it would be unchallenged.

And the third time the accuser lifted Jesus up into a very high mountain range and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and all the splendor that goes with it. "All of these kingdoms I will give to you," the accuser said, "if only you will kneel down before me and worship me." But Jesus said, "Go away, enemy! For the Scriptures say: Kneel before the Lord your God and worship only him."
Matthew 4:8-10 (TPT)

Satan even tempted Jesus with the offer to rule over the nations; he could not offer this if it were not his to give. The earth was given over to these sons of God by Yahweh-God to manage until His plan for humanity had fully unfolded in our Lord Jesus.

The Most-High God planned to re-appoint humankind as the ruler over the nations, not the sons of God, with Jesus was the first one. This infuriated Satan, as well as the sons of God for it seemed to them as a betrayal from the Most-High God. What they didn't take into account, though, that is was their disobedience and rebellion is which led to their downfall, not God's choice to restore humankind to the position of ruling and reigning with Him.

Now that a challenge was in Satan's face, Jesus didn't directly remove his power from Him, which He could have done, but Satan didn't know what Jesus was planning either, or what to do with Him.

"When the Most-High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God."
Deuteronomy 32:8 (ESV)

All of this happened back at the tower of Babel when God dis-inherited the nations and assigned them to the sons of God that they might rule over the nations of the earth. God always had a redemption plan in mind to gather all of the nations back to Himself; it was a matter of timing. God did choose one nation for Himself as His primary inheritance, and that was Israel.

The apostle Paul calls these sons of God "Principalities and powers" who rebelled against their first estate, they elevated themselves and attempted to become like the Most-High God and create their own utopia on earth, they couldn't get back to Eden so they attempted to create their own type of paradise. These sons of God corrupted humanity instead of protecting them as they were initially commissioned by Yahweh-God as their main objective.

Their mission became apparent, which was to keep humanity from ever discovering who Yahweh-God intended them to become and keep them in darkness, it would mean the demise of these demigods if humanity ever found out. God's plan was for humanity to become His imagers, which reflected the glory and purpose of the most-high God in the earth and to rule and reign with Christ as kings and priests unto our God.

These corrupted sons of God were and are ruthless, cruel, and relentless in his attempts to derail God's plan; their very survival depended upon it. Our God is equally relentless in pursuing His children with love, mercy, and kindness to encourage them to stay the course of faith so they come to know who they are, and who Christ Jesus will become in them and live out their true heritage.

"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."
Ephesians 6:12 (NASB)

We are Son's and Daughter's of the Most-High God; we have been redeemed from every nation, tribe, and tongue. The nations are now being brought back in Christ as He is revealed to the different people groups. It isn't just about the physical state of Israel anymore; it is about God re-inheriting all of the world's nations through the sacrifice of Christ Jesus.

When we stand against the lies and deceit of these demigods and allow the love of God to be our truth.  Remember we are not fighting against people, only the spirit which drives people.  When these spirits attack we have weapons that can withstand these attacks and release healing upon us and others whenever necessary.

These principalities are powerful beings and we cannot fight them directly, but the Lord can.  The Lord can bring His champion to fight against these despots and prevail.  The Lord's champion is Michael and he is singularly focused on the battle.  Also remember the battle is the Lord's battle against our enemy, not ours.

We have all been called to glorious freedom in Christ Jesus, and to speak that peaceful freedom to all of God's creation, all creation waits for the Sons and Daughters of the living God to take their place!

Be Blessed;
Stephen Barnett
