"We despised him and rejected him.." - Isaiah 53:3-4 (GNT)

Jesus is either King over all creation, or is He a fraud!
That is what Isaiah is saying here.

Many people today still have not settled that question "who is Jesus?"; "He's good enough for the religious, church-going folks, but when it comes to everyday people, Jesus just doesn't seem to fit in." I have heard this argument since I was a little boy from Church people and family alike, there seems to be no room for Jesus amid the struggle of day to day life.

But actually, quite the opposite is true, Jesus not only desires to be integrated into our daily lives amid the struggles and pains we face, but He also wants to face those difficulties head-on through us.  I have found that it is easier for non-religious people to believe in Jesus because He has no pretense.

Jesus doesn't have requirements, rules or regulations for us to follow, He just loves, and there is nothing greater.

Please excuse the King James version of the following passage, it speaks of how God leads the people that He has captured through His love and that He has gifts to bestow to them.  It reads so beautifully in the King James Version:

"Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the Lord God might dwell among them.  Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation."
Psalm 68:18-19 (KJV)

Those who have a misconception that somehow Jesus is angry at us and is going to judge us for our sins, have some good news coming their way.  Jesus captures people's hearts and reveals Himself to them on an intimate personal level and is gracious to us all, rebellious and faithful alike.

God's judgments have already been cast, and our sins have been judged at the cross of Jesus, He comes to bring us mercy and forgiveness because of who He is, not because of what we deserve.

Psalm 68:18-19 speaks of the Lord coming to lead those in the bondage of prison out of the captivity (of sin) and into freedom.  It says that the Lord has led a procession or a parade of people out of captivity and has gifts that He bestows upon everyone, even those who are rebellious, which is a demonstration of true mercy.

I find that the incredible benefits that Jesus gives us are ours, no matter if we are in alignment with Him or not.  You genuinely don't have to love Him back to receive the benefit of His love, which is His salvation and mercy, as well as many other benefits that are for everyone, not just the obedient.  Paul mentions this in Ephesians 4:

"For us there is only one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and we all have the same God and Father who is over us all and in us all, and living through every part of us. However, Christ has given each of us special abilities—whatever he wants us to have out of his rich storehouse of gifts.  The psalmist tells about this, for he says that when Christ returned triumphantly to heaven after his resurrection and victory over Satan, he gave generous gifts to men." Ephesians 4:5-8 (TLB)

What are these generous gifts? These are spiritual gifts given to men to help them in their walk with the Lord and be an encouragement to them as well as to others.

There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but they all come from the same Spirit. There are different ways to serve the same Lord, and we can each do different things. Yet the same God works in all of us and helps us in everything we do.  The Spirit has given each of us a special way of serving others. Some of us can speak with wisdom, while others can speak with knowledge, but these gifts come from the same Spirit. To others the Spirit has given great faith or the power to heal the sick or the power to work mighty miracles. Some of us are prophets, and some of us recognize when God's Spirit is present. Others can speak different kinds of languages, and still others can tell what these languages mean. But it is the Spirit who does all this and decides which gifts to give to each of us.
1 Corinthians 12:4-11 (CEV)

So the main question we return to is Jesus the Lord and King over all of creation?  Or is He a fraud?

With all of the hoopla regarding what others have given us in the scriptural information provided, it would firmly suggest that He is not only Lord and King, but that He loves us and wants to restore us to something that we are just now becoming aware.

We are His children who have a birthright to His kingdom.  Which is why Jesus came to the earth to reveal that God is not angry with us even though there were writers who communicated this falsehood throughout history.

Jesus came to set the record straight, and reveal that He loves us, and he desires that we come home. There is a banquet table spread out, and the invitations have been sent.  The banquet isn't for a meeting in heaven for some time in the future; it is for right here and right now.

He wants us to know that His love for us is that we step into our positions as sons and daughters of God, and utilize the generous gifts he has provided for us and to feast with Him every day.

What harmony can exist between the Anointed and Satan? Do the faithful and the faithless have anything in common? Can the temple of God find common ground with idols? Don't you see that we house the temple of the living God within us? Remember when He said, "I will make My home with them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be My people.  So then turn away from them, turn away and leave without looking back," says the Lord. "Stay away from anything unclean, anything impure, and I will welcome you.  And I will be for you as a father, and you will be for Me as sons and daughters," Says the Lord Almighty!
2 Corinthians 6:15-18 (VOICE)

Yes!  He truly is King and Lord over all creation.

Be Blessed;
Stephen Barnett
