Such a loving God

Good Morning:

I was thinking this morning how wonderful it is to serve such a loving God.

Then something occurred to me, "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me"  Philippians 4:13
Something I had not considered before, that this is in the present tense, not past tense.
It is not saying that I can do all things because of Christ, (which is past tense) but it is saying that I can do all
things Through Christ (present tense) who strengthens me. (again present tense) He is the one doing the work here.

Something else I was considering...what is "all things"?  The context of Philippians 4 is Paul speaking to Brothers and Sisters
in Phillipi encouraging them to maintain a Joyful attitude and suggests they train themselves to focus on virtuous traits of the fruit of the spirit
coming out of their lives. These attributes of the fruit of the spirit come from God's abiding presence in our lives.

Paul states clearly that he knows how to live, and that he knew who he was in Christ. (vs 12-13)
"All things" to Paul was any situation he faced in any circumstance.   (I know God has more to show me on this later)
He further states that He has "learned the secret of being content"
I believe that Paul fully understood the power of submission by allowing Christ to demonstrate His power through Paul in any and every instance
he found himself.

When Paul spoke to the Galatians, he stated it plainly:

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of
the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.  Galatians 2:20

It wasn't even Paul's faith in Christ rising up to the occasion of him being strong, it was "...by the Faith of the Son of God"  it was God's faith rising up in him.
God desires to demonstrate His strength and His faith through us, if we are willing to step up to his throne and worship Him.

How great is our wonderful God!!!

Oh, how marvelous! Oh, how wonderful!
And my song shall ever be:
Oh, how marvelous! Oh, how wonderful!

Is my Savior’s love for me!
