Worship the Lord

I woke up this morning with my mind filled with worship, and was brought to tears several times by the goodness of the Lord, and His kindness.
I had considered how our school system and society in general has adopted the “Big Bang Theory” as a scientific explanation of how our universe has evolved.  It is a method of removing the God of absolute fact into the arena of Theory.

The bible and even our system of Law dictate that everything is established by the testimony of two or more witnesses.  Creationism surpasses that fact many times over.  The “Big Bang Theory” is not a very convincing (or even a compelling) argument as opposed to Creationism.

Genesis 1: 1-2
In the beginning God created heaven and earth.  The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep water.  The spirit of God was hovering over the water.

There is however a interesting parallel between the “Big Bang Theory” and the expansion of the Kingdom of God.  I remember John Wimber sharing about the expansion of the “economy of God” in times past.  One such instance is found in:

 John 7:38
Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.

This isn’t a trickle or a small stream, this is torrents of water -a ‘river’.  This is compared to the opening of flood gates and the bursting forth of flood water.  The “Big Bang Theory” also speaks of a ‘bursting forth’, the parallels are striking, but the difference is that it not from randomness, but out of God’s divine order.  The expansion of the Kingdom.

Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

God’s kingdom is bursting forth on the scene whenever and wherever we worship Him and extol His greatness.  We are seeking the King and His Kingdom.  He empowers us to extend His Kingdom into our physical world and to others that we interact with.

What an amazing Joy to know our King, and that He interacts with us!!!

Perfect submission, all is at rest.
I in my Savior are happy and blessed.
     Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with his goodness, lost in His love

This is my story, this is my song,
            Praising my Savior all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.
