I long for the day when I can be in the presence of Jesus
without the restrictions of this mortal body, not that I have a death wish, but
because I am a citizen of heaven and that is my true home.
We have an eternal home with Jesus which He is bringing with
Him upon His return. All things will be
made right and death will not be remembered because our weak and feeble bodies
will be changed and we will put on immortality like Jesus’ glorious body.
Jesus is coming to rule all things and take the governments of this world under His control. There will be opposition from those presently in power to resist, but as our bible declares our Lord will prevail over His enemies (Isaiah 14:24,26-27) and He will establish His rule with righteousness and truth which has been sorely lacking in our world.
Paul also stated that He desired to be with the Lord instead of enduring his prolonged suffering in prison, but he saw the benefit in continuing to write to the saints and encouraging them with letters of instruction and admonishment to keep the church from straying from the simplicity of the message of Jesus Christ.
Paul makes it clear that we need to wake up from our slumber and shake off the dust from our clothes, for we live in an important time in human history, for our salvation is now nearer than when we first believed. (Romans 13:11)
This world is headed for destruction because of sin, we have the antidote for sin which is Jesus Christ. That is where our hope lies, we stand on that firm foundation which is Christ our Lord and His promises for us. He is forever faithful to His word.
Be Blessed;
